Intel® Core™ i5-6500 14nm Desktop Processors are 64-bit multi-core processors built on 14-nanometer process technology. These devices are offered in a 2-chip platform and are connected to a discrete Intel 100 Series Chipset Family Platform Controller Hub (PCH) on the motherboard. These devices leverage the power efficiency to deliver faster performance than previous generation processors. Intelligent power management with Intel Turbo Boost 2.0 dynamically controls performance and power—for cores and graphics—boosting performance precisely when needed and saving energy when it counts.

4th Generation i5 Processors

Intel 4th Gen Core Series i5 Desktop Processor delivers a 64-bit, multi-core processor built on 22-nanometer process technology. Intel 4th Generation Core Series i5 Processor is designed for a two-chip platform consisting of a processor and Platform Controller Hub (PCH). The processors are designed to be used with the Intel 8 Series chipset.
