SIDACtor® Protection Thyristors

Littelfuse SIDACtor® Protection Thyristors are thyristor devices used to protect sensitive circuits from electrical disturbances caused by lightning-induced surges, inductive-coupled spikes, and AC power fault conditions. The unique structure and characteristics of the thyristor are used to create an overvoltage protection device with precise and repeatable turn-on characteristics with low voltage overshoot and high surge current capabilities. SIDACtor components are solid state crowbar devices with a patented ion implant technology that ensures effective protection within nanoseconds. Littelfuse SIDACtor Protection Thyristors include a wide range of semiconductor protection thyristor over-voltage transient suppression devices designed to serve requirements of telecom and data networking equipment applications.

B-0C-LRP Battrax SIDACtor Protection Thyristors

Littelfuse B-0C-LRP Battrax® Thyristors offer programmable SIDACtor® overvoltage protection for SLIC applications. B-0C-LRP is offered in a negative and a positive Battrax version. The B1-0C-LRP is a -VREF supply and the B2050C-LRP is a +VREF supply. The components are designed using an SCR and a gate triggered diode. Surge capability does not degrade after multiple surge events within limit. The modified DO-214 package thyristors feature low voltage overshoot, low on-state voltage, robust surge current ratings, and fails short circuit when surged in excess of ratings.

SLIC SIDACtor Protection Thyristors

Littelfuse SLIC SIDACtor^® Protection Thyristors focus on addressing the unique protection needs of SLIC (Subscriber Line Interface Circuit) chipsets. The components offer fixed voltage and Battrax® battery tracking protection solutions capable of protecting SLIC devices from transients caused by lightning and AC power cross. The Littelfuse SLIC family provides an overvoltage protection solution that helps applications comply with Telcordia GR-1089 Issue 4, and ITU-T recommendations K.20, K.21, K.44, and K.45.
